Building a better future for 2SLGBTQi+ communities in Canada.

"We acknowledge that we are on the traditional territory of many Indigenous nations, including the Coast Salish, Nuu-chah-nulth, Kwakwaka'wakw, Haida, and Interior Salish. We recognize the stewardship of the land and waters by these nations for thousands of years and their continuing contributions to the province of British Columbia. We also acknowledge the ongoing impacts of colonization and systemic injustices experienced by Indigenous peoples, and commit to learning from and working in solidarity with Indigenous communities towards reconciliation and healing."

About RASBC

This society was created after numerous discussions amongst friends which included the gains we have made and the much needed work that still needs to be done. Our discussions lead to focusing on areas key for overall living our authentic wellness and life.

Discussions on safe spaces included jobs, healthcare, mental health and social sustainability. Many of us have come out at different stages in our life which included youth to our seniors years and how do we talk to each other and support each other in daily life.

So what does support and access look like to those living in BC, regardless of where we live? How do we connect to needed resources to find out what is available does not meet our needs.

Sow the seeds to create Rainbow Advocacy Society of BC to help advocate for the work that still needs to be done came into being.
